Helping Autistic children thrive and find their Autistic pride.

Welcome to Autism at the Heart.  Autism at the Heart aims to provide educators with knowledge and understanding of Autism and how to support and celebrate the Autistic pupils in their care.  It also aims to provide support to families with children who are Autistic, including practical strategies and resources.

Founder of Autism at the Heart

My name is Laura and I am autistic.  I'm a mum of three amazing Autistic children, who I learn from everyday.  I am a qualified primary school teacher with experience of working with Autistic children in mainstream schools.  I have also served on the board of a local additional support needs charity for children.  To gain further knowledge and experience I volunteered at my son's special needs school and worked with children with various levels of support needs.
